Services

A formalized triage and assessment process is conducted by a team of licensed and master-level professionals.  The triage process is very formal and structured to determine eligibility for outpatient services.  Any available information is reviewed prior to the initial appointment. Based on the information collected, the disposition in the case may be:

  • The applicant is referred for inpatient treatment or other resources for treatment or other services.
  • The applicant may be admitted to the clinic for services.
  • The assessment is performed after an individual is determined to meet admission criteria and has been admitted for services.
  • A comprehensive social history and the recovery plan will be completed at this time as well.
  • The client is then scheduled for his/her initial clinical appointment with an assigned clinician and/or physician.

All scheduled clients and unscheduled clients are greeted upon entering the clinic.  Clients are provided assistance with the registration applications to ensure the accuracy of all information in order that benefits are applied without undue stress to the client.  Orientation begins with the initial contact with the client/family.  The client and or family are given an explanation of out of pocket expenses/benefit coverage; any uncertainties or questions that the family/client may have regarding benefits are answered during the initial stage of the orientation process.  During this process, clients are given an opportunity to register to vote as well as given a copy of their rights as clients at the facility.

Operation/ Cooperation with Counselors, Adolescents, Parents & Probation Officers

CAPP is a special group that provides education for parents and probation officers of youth involved in ASAP.  Here, adults learn about addiction and how to support their teen during his/her treatment.  The program emphasizes a team approach to conquering addictive disorders in adolescents.

Both ASAP and Operation CAPP have the common goal of facilitating and enhancing the holistic functioning of adolescents and their families.  This is achieved through a combination of individual, group and family counseling and coordination of wraparound service providers.  Studies show this multi-dimensional approach provides the greatest likelihood of substantial, long-term positive growth and development.
