Northeast Delta Human Services Authority Now an Approved National Health Service Corps Site

Northeast Delta Human Services Authority (NE Delta HSA) announced today that it has been designated as an approved National Health Service Corps (NHSC) site.

“We look forward to engaging with the NHSC program to bring more outstanding, talented healthcare clinicians to help serve our citizens,” said NE Delta HSA Executive Director Dr. Monteic A. Sizer. “This prestigious recognition and federal partnership will help us further attract dedicated psychiatrists, psychologists, nurse practitioners and additional licensed behavioral health professionals to northeast Louisiana.”

This program provides many benefits to communities, clinicians and approved sites. Clinicians who work at NHSC-approved sites are eligible to apply to the NHSC Loan Repayment Program to pay off student loans. NHSC clinicians are also eligible to apply for additional financial support in return for additional service, supporting the retention of NHSC members. Approved sites can recruit clinicians through the NHSC Jobs Center, which enables providers to search and review a comprehensive list of NHSC-qualifying job openings across the nation.

“Clinicians who come to northeast Louisiana will join a community of providers who share the desire to care for underserved clients,” said Dr. Sizer. “Candidates have the opportunity to be a part of our progressive integrated care model as problem-solvers who wish to make a tangible difference in citizens’ lives.”
