NE Delta HSA has supported a significant amount of care through its Integrated Services Model for citizens who have behavioral health issues, addictive disorders and developmental disabilities to date in 2015. Through its financial support of Rayville Recovery, NE Delta HSA has supported more than 407 detox sessions and 1,128 rehabilitation visits since January.*
Additionally, NE Delta HSA and University Health Conway have shared more than 525 referrals for behavioral health treatment in the first half of 2015. NE Delta HSA and University Health Conway signed a Memorandum of Understanding in July 2014 to formalize a referral process and increase psychiatric inpatient capacity.*
“Through our innovative service delivery model of collaborations, coalitions and partnerships, our spectrum of services helps address critical issues that our citizens face,” said NE Delta HSA Executive Director Dr. Monteic A. Sizer. “In addition to our own clinical services, these partnerships with local, skilled providers help keep people out of jail, out of hospital emergency rooms and keep them in the community as productive citizens. Our goal is to provide services that catalyze improved health outcomes for northeast Louisiana.”
In collaboration with the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals (DHH) Office of Behavioral Health (OBH), NE Delta HSA Prevention Services activity shows significant results for State Fiscal Year 2014-15 fourth quarter. With its collaborative prevention partners throughout the northeast Louisiana region, 10,246 citizens have received evidence-based prevention services in school and community-based settings. Prevention Services aims to reduce substance use disorders, underage tobacco and alcohol usage and provides knowledge about addiction and its effects, along with available prevention treatment programs.
