Northeast Delta HSA Supports Quality Behavioral Health and Addictive Disorder Care for Veterans

Northeast Delta Human Services Authority (NE Delta HSA) wants to help ensure that US veterans obtain the mental health and addictive disorder services they need. It operates eight behavioral health clinics in northeastern Louisiana, five of which also provide services for addictive disorders. NE Delta HSA will also be seeking to work with the regional Veteran’s Affairs Department and additional coalitions who serve and come in contact with veterans.

“We want to do our part to ensure that our military veterans receive quality mental health and addictive disorder services,” said Dr. Monteic A. Sizer, NE Delta HSA Executive Director. “They should have a safety net that meets their needs.”

NE Delta HSA supports many local service providers that specialize in a variety of behavioral health and addictive disorders that could benefit veterans. One such provider is a regional continuum of care provider, through which NE Delta HSA provides funding for a residential shelter for people who are homeless or have serious behavioral health issues. Another provider offers a day program where people who are already receiving mental health treatment can obtain additional services to help them maintain stability and further improve their quality of life.

NE Delta HSA also helps leverage funds for housing options for homeless people in the region. NE Delta HSA values the people who serve our country. NE Delta HSA also serves as a point of entry for our citizens who need care through its peer support centers throughout northeast Louisiana.

“The value and sacrifice made every day by those men and women who protect and serve us should never be forgotten. As the state’s regional mental health, addictive disorder and developmental disability go-to organization, we will do everything we can to support, house and treat our veterans,” said Dr. Sizer.
