New NE Delta HSA Mobile App Provides Easy Access to Behavioral Healthcare Information

Northeast Delta Human Services Authority (NE Delta HSA), which directs the operation of community-based services for citizens with mental health issues, addictive disorders, developmental disabilities and prevention programs, announced today the launch of its new NE Delta HSA mobile app.

“We have put in place this new app because we believe that governmental entities must innovate to meet health and human services needs, especially in rural areas of the United States,” said Dr. Monteic A. Sizer, NE Delta HSA Executive Director. “Our new NE Delta HSA app ensures that people have even greater access to behavioral and primary healthcare information – right at their fingertips.”

The new NE Delta HSA mobile app includes:

  • Descriptions of available behavioral and primary healthcare services listed by Parish
  • Information and documents that a client should bring to their first appointment
  • Mental health and addictive disorder clinic locations and how to contact them
  • Information about developmental disabilities services
  • A link to the NE Delta HSA Facebook page, which highlights the agency’s activity, upcoming community events and timely articles about mental health and addiction.

The NE Delta HSA app can be downloaded onto Android devices from the Google Play Store or Amazon.com by searching for NE Delta HSA. “Technology is a part of everyday life,” said Eric Coulberson, NE Delta HSA Information Technology Operations Specialist. “In addition to our website and social media sites, we want to use the app as another way to reach people and help them find information about our services.”

“We consistently use technology to help advance the quality of the services we provide. We also enable our clients to have instant access to information so they can experience life to its fullest,” said Dr. Sizer. “Additionally, we seek to create life opportunities and integrated care homes for those who are the most vulnerable in northeast Louisiana.”

“We want to continually improve health outcomes for those we are privileged to serve, and we aim to unceasingly transform the way we meet peoples’ behavioral health needs. NE Delta HSA already uses technology to serve its citizens through tele-psychiatry in geographic areas where lack of transportation is a significant barrier to services,” said Dr. Sizer. “This app is one more facet of our nationally-recognized, integrative behavioral health and primary care approach, which will help our regional citizens live a healthy life and become even more self-sufficient and responsible for their own destiny.”
