MONROE, LA – Dr. Monteic A. Sizer, executive director of Northeast Delta Human Services Authority (NEDHSA), announces the appointment of DeRon Talley as public information director.
“Our vision is to build a unified Northeast Louisiana where individuals are thriving and reaching their full human potential,” Dr. Sizer said. “In order to do that, we make sure to bring talented professionals on our executive management team to provide and share our resources and information.”
Talley will manage and direct the authority’s communications and external affairs efforts, serve as the authority’s main communications contact, serve as a key advisor to the executive director, and manage all public record requests.
Before joining NEDHSA, Talley served as the director of marketing and communications for the Louisiana Small Business Development Center. Prior to that role, he served concurrently as the editors of the Gonzales Weekly Citizen and Donaldsonville Chief newspapers in Ascension Parish.
“Anytime you have an opportunity to work in an organization that aims to transform lives is rewarding,” Talley said. “I look forward to helping NEDHSA continue its award-winning public relations efforts and sharing its resources and information in an innovative way.”
A native of Folsom, La., Talley holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communication from the University of Louisiana Monroe and a master’s degree in business administration from Louisiana State University Shreveport. He is a 2017 Leadership Ouachita alumna, was named a Northeast Louisiana Top 20 Under 40 Young Professional, is a commissioner for Volunteer Louisiana, a board of director for Northeast Louisiana Children’s Coalition, and is the pastor of St. Joseph Missionary Baptist Church of West Monroe.
NEDHSA serves as a catalyst for individuals with mental health, developmental disabilities, and addictive disorders.
