CARF Accreditation Demonstrates Commitment to High Standards

Northeast Delta Human Services Authority was awarded three-year CARF re-accreditation in June 2017 ensuring an ongoing commitment to better serve our citizens. “We are dedicated to serving our region through innovative excellence and continuous learning,” said Dr. Monteic A. Sizer, Executive Director, Northeast Delta HSA. “This accreditation demonstrates our staff’s commitment to our vision, mission and the tenets by which we work to serve our regional citizens.” A CARF Accreditation was awarded to HSA for the following services:

CARF International is an independent, nonprofit accreditor of health and human services providers in the areas of Aging Services, Behavioral Health, Child and Youth Services, Durable Medical Equipment, Employment and Community Services, Medical Rehabilitation, Opioid Treatment Programs, and Vision Rehabilitation Services. Massachusetts Institute of Technology National J-PAL Research Center Health Care Competition Winner

Northeast Delta Human Services Authority was selected by the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) North America, a research center at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as a 2016 winner of its inaugural Health Care Delivery Innovation Competition. The competition identifies innovative programs with the potential to serve as national models and supports the development of large-scale randomized controlled trials to evaluate these programs’ impact. J-PAL cited Northeast Delta HSA’s innovative work in providing patients with access to quality behavioral healthcare, integrated primary care, and social services, and this renowned research organization will develop rigorous evidence of a potential national model for integrated care and ancillary services. The competition attracted applicants from across the nation and across the spectrum of care. Northeast Delta was one of only four nationally-awarded organizations.

National Communication-Industry Recognition

The Northeast Delta Human Services Authority Communications Team won three MarCom Gold Awards in 2014 for its website, its communications materials and its communications & public relations program. MarCom Awards recognizes outstanding creative achievement by marketing and communication professionals. It is an international competition for individuals or companies involved in the concept, writing and design of print, visual, audio and web materials and programs. Northeast Delta HSA Communications also won a 2014 Aesculapius Award of Excellence for its website. The Aesculapius Award is designed to promote and encourage excellence in communication about healthy lifestyles, disease prevention, and health care treatments. Additionally, the Northeast Delta website won an Addy Award at the Advertising Club of Northeast Louisiana’s Addy Awards in 2014. The Ad Club is a chapter of the American Advertising Federation.

Nashall Harris Humanitarian Award

Northeast Delta Human Services Authority had the honor of being a recipient of the 2018 Nashall Harris Humanitarian Award at the 39th annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Salute in Monroe, LA. The Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Salute is an annual program presented by the City of Monroe that honors the achievements of Dr. King and the citizens of our community who work to keep Dr. King’s dream alive. The Nashall Harris Humanitarian Award recognizes outstanding contributions to the community and dedication to its progress and development. The award was conferred by the City of Monroe, Louisiana and the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Committee. It was presented by Mayor, James E. Mayo to Northeast Delta HSA Executive Director, Dr. Monteic A. Sizer.
